Abstrak
Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran IPA dengan model Discovery Learning sehingga efektif meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa. Tindakan pembelajaran dilakukan dalam dua siklus melibatkan siswa kelas IX B7 semester genap Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Objek penelitiannya adalah meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA siswa pada materi pelajaran Sistem Tata Surya. Prestasi belajar IPA siswa dikumpulkan dengan metode tes dan hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantiitatif. Tindakan pembelajaran dinyatakan berhasil, apabila skor rata-rata siswa mencapai minimal 77 dan jumlah siswa tuntas belajar 85%. Hasil tindakan pembelajaran menunjukkan adanya peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa pada siklus I dan II dariprestasi belajar sebelum tindakan (prasiklus). Skor rata-rata prestasi belajar siswa pada prasiklus sebesar 72.70, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 78.83, dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 85. Ketuntasan kelas pada prasiklus sebesar 43.33%, pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 76.67%, dan pada siklus II menjadi 86.67%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian tindakan ini yaitu bahwa penerapan model Discovery Learning mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar IPA, dimana siswa mencapai nilai ketuntasan belajar minimal dan ketuntasan kelas yang ditetapkan sekolah.

Abstract
Classroom action research (CAR) is conducted aimed at improving the quality of the science learning process with the Discovery Learning model so that it is effective in improving student learning achievement. The learning action is carried out in two cycles involving students in class IX B7 even semester 2018/2019 Academic Year. The object of his research is to increase students' learning achievement in the subject matter of the Solar System. Students' natural science learning achievements were collected by the test method and the results were analyzed in a quantitative descriptive manner. The action of learning is declared successful, if the average student score reaches a minimum of 77 and the number of students completing learning 85%. The results of learning actions indicate an increase in student achievement in cycles I and II of the achievement of learning before the action (pre-cycle). The average score of student learning achievement in pre-cycle of 72.70, in the first cycle increased to 78.83, and in the second cycle increased to 85. Completion of classes in the pre-cycle of 43.33%, in the first cycle increased to 76.67%, and in the second cycle to 86.67% . The conclusion of this action research is that the application of the Discovery Learning model can improve the learning achievement of science, where students achieve the value of minimal learning completeness and class completeness determined by the school.
