Abstract

ABSTRACT
Education for children from under five years old up to elementary school or often called Early Childhood Education (PAUD) is a very important stage for human development. The development of skills and abilities carried out for PAUD students during the CoViD-19 pandemic was very constrained due to various things, including the limited ability of teachers and students in mastering online learning media and internet-based digital communication media. This research was conducted through a descriptive survey method to obtain data from respondents. The samples used in this study were PAUD educators and parents in the Purbalingga area. Researchers used data collection techniques from interviews and distributing questionnaires to determine the effectiveness of the shadow teacher method on PAUD student learning during the COVID-19 pandemic on the achievement of RPPH. From initial research, it was found that online learning at PAUD institutions in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic has not been effective, so the role of parents who represent teachers is needed in implementing KBM in their respective homes. Shadow teachers carry out real teacher activities at home so that they can bridge between school teachers and students to carry out the process of supervision, learning, assessment and other teacher functions. From the initial findings, it was found that there were PAUD teachers who did not teach during the CoViD-19 pandemic. It was also found that many PAUD teachers were not proficient in using online learning applications. In fact, many PAUD teachers are less comfortable with online learning because they feel less effective, especially not all parents have a laptop or smartphone as the main equipment for the implementation of online learning. From the results of the study, it was found that the role of shadow teachers in KBM for PAUD students was enough to increase the achievement of RPPH.

ABSTRAK
Pendidikan pada anak yang berusia balita hingga menjelang SD atau sering disebut Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) merupakan tahapan yang sangat penting bagi perkembangan manusia. Pengembangan keterampilan dan kemampuan yang dilakukan terhadap siswa PAUD di masa pandemi CoViD-19 sangat terkendala karena berbagai hal, diantaranya keterbatasan kemampuan guru dan siswa dalam penguasaan media pembelajaran daring maupun media komunikasi digital berbasis internet. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui metode survei deskriptif untuk memperoleh data dari responden. Sampel yang digunakan dari penelitian ini ialah pendidik PAUD dan orangtua siswa di daerah Purbalingga. Peneliti memakai teknik pengumpulan data dari interview dan penyebaran angket untuk mengetahui efektivitas metode guru bayangan pada pembelajaran siswa PAUD saat masa pandemi covid-19 terhadap pencapaian RPPH. Dari penelitian awal didapat kenyataan bahwa pembelajaran daring di lembaga PAUD di tengah pandemi COVID-19 belum efektif, sehingga diperlukan peran orangtua siswa yang mewakili guru dalam melaksanakan KBM di rumah masing-masing. Guru bayangan melaksanakan kegiatan guru yang sesungguhnya di rumah agar dapat menjembatani antara guru sekolah dengan siswa untuk melakukan proses pengawasan, pembelajaran, penilaian dan fungsi guru lainnya. Dari temuan awal diperoleh bahwa ada guru PAUD yang tidak melakukan pembelajaran di masa pandemi CoViD-19. Ditemukan pula bahwa banyak guru PAUD yang belum cakap dalam memakai aplikasi pembelajaran daring. Bahkan banyak guru PAUD yang kurang nyaman dengan pembelajaran daring karena dirasakan kurang efektif apalagi belum semua orang tua memiliki laptop atau smartphone sebagai peralatan utama bagi pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa peran guru bayangan dalam KBM siswa PAUD cukup meningkatkan pencapaian RPPH.
