Abstract
Abstrak. Pegawai merupakan suatu aset yang penting dalam organisasi, karena dengan adanya pegawai suatu organisasi mampu untuk bertahan dalam ketatnya era persaingan globalisasi saat ini. Dalam menghadapi hal tersebut sehingga dibutuhkan pegawai yang memiliki kinerja yang optimal. Work Engagement dijelaskan sebagai suatu perasaan positif dan seutuhnya terhadap pekerjaan yang dilakukan (Sepalla dkk, 2008). Adapun tujuan penelitian ini untuk menyusun alat ukur Psikologi dengan mengeksplorasi dimensi dari Work Engagement yang dijelaskan oleh Schaufeli & Bakker (2004). Metode pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan dua metode yaitu kualitatif dengan skala pertanyaan terbuka kepada 67 orang PNS di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY) dan kuantitatif dengan skala tertutup kepada 106 PNS dan Karyawan di daerah Bali dan Jawa, selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas alat ukur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Skala Work Engagement terdiri dari 3 dimensi penyusun yaitu Vigor, Dedication dan Absortion serta terdapat 19 item yang valid dengan reliabilitas 0,856.

Abstract. Employees are important assets in an organization. The presence of employee enable the organization to survive in the competitive global era. In this situation, employees are required to have optimal performance. Work engagement define as a positive and complete feeling towards the work (Sepalla et al, 2008). The purpose of this study is to compile a psychological measurement tool by exploring the dimensions of work engagement described by Schaufeli & Bakker (2004). The Collecting data method in this study using two form; the first being qualitative with open ended question scale towards 67 civil servants in Yogyakarta (DIY); the second is quantitative scale with questionnaire towards 106 civil servant and employee in Bali and Java. Following the validity and reliability testing of the measurement instrument. The result showed that the Work Engagement scale consist of 3 dimensions, vigor, dedication and absorption. Further, there were 19 valid items with reliability of 0.856.
