Abstract
(equivalent time samples design).
post test (p= 0,042 <0,05; z=-2,032). Dengan melihat perbandingan nilai post test dan
follow up (p=0,098<0,05; z=-1,656).

ABSTRACT
Every person with disabilities (physically challenged) tends to feel that he does not have
the meaningful value of life, feeling discouraged, feeling afraid of his condition, sad when
left behind, and tends to have a negative self-concept. People with disabilities at the
Jimbaran Bali Foundation for Disabled Children (YPAC) tend to withdraw from their
environment because they do not have the meaning of life. In reviewing the above
problems Humanistic Psychology theory is used and analyzed using quantitative and
qualitative research methods with the Quasi Experiment (equivalent time samples
design) approach. From the quantitative method, the results of the pre-test and posttest
were obtained (p = 0.042 <0.05; z = -2.032). Whereas by looking at the
comparison of the value of post test and follow up (p = 0.098 <0.05; z = -1.656). The
results of this study found that humanistic existential counseling effectively increased the
meaningfulness of life in the quadriplegic at YPAC Jimbaran Bali. Qualitatively, it was
found that humanistic existential counseling conducted by researchers played a role in
accelerating the process of increasing the meaningfulness of involuntary life. Thus, every
person with a disability, especially the disabled, is able to adapt to his environment and
has a meaningful life.
