The Exploration of Humanistic Education Path against Consumerism in Junior High School Chinese Teaching
Isi Artikel Utama
Abstrak
In today’s consumerist culture, junior high school students are increasingly susceptible to materialism and symbolic consumption, which can lead to distorted values and psychological confusion that run counter to the humanistic spirit emphasized in Chinese language education. Drawing on rich classical texts and diverse pedagogical strategies, junior high Chinese courses serve as an important platform for responding to consumerism and fostering humanistic education. This paper systematically examines approaches to humanistic education in junior high Chinese teaching from the perspectives of theoretical foundations and key points of alignment, including integrated text interpretation, guided writing practice, experiential Chinese learning activities, and a blended model of ideological-political education and humanistic education. Through the analysis of specific instructional case designs, the study proposes practical considerations for implementation, informed by constructivist learning theory and Marx’s theory of commodity fetishism. The study aims to provide actionable teaching plans for junior high Chinese teachers to help students develop healthy consumption perspectives and values, thereby supporting their spiritual growth.
