EMPOWERING TEACHERS FOR THE DIGITAL AGE: PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND PEDAGOGICAL INNOVATION IN EDUCATION TRANSFORMATION

Abstrak

The study examines the role of a teacher in the digital age, empowered by professional development and pedagogical innovations. Furthermore, the teacher can enable mechanisms that will change the face of the education system. Utilizing secondary qualitative data taken from peer-reviewed journals, academic articles, and reports published between 2020 and 2025, this research examines how continuous professional development CPD improves teachers’ digital competencies and confidence to integrate technology in the classroom. Another aspect of the study has analyzed how pedagogical innovation helps improve teaching efficacy and student engagement learning outcomes while also identifying the barriers to the adoption of digital devices and innovative pedagogical practice among educators. The research finds that technology has made the educational path more creative and interactive. It helped the students to think and practice beyond the bookish knowledge. Teachers must be trained in the use of technology. It must be used wisely so that it does not hurt the learning process of students. Educational leaders must be digitally empowered to foster the learning process. Pedagogical creativity has been suggested at the end of this study, which helped the future students as well as teachers for enhancing the culture of learning.
