SISTEM PENDETEKSIAN DAN PENANGANAN KEBOCORAN GAS LPG BERBASIS IOT

Risiko Kebocoran gas LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) merupakan ancaman serius yang
dapat menyebabkan ledakan jika terpapar percikan api atau sumber panas lain,
mengakibatkan kerusakan fisik yang luas dan potensi hilangnya nyawa. Selain itu, inhalasi
gas LPG yang bocor dapat menimbulkan keracunan dengan gejala seperti sakit kepala,
pusing, mual, dan dalam kasus yang parah, kehilangan kesadaran atau kematian. Sehingga
perlu adanya upaya pencegahan yang efektif. Meskipun telah ada beberapa sistem deteksi
kebocoran gas, Penelitian ini berfokus untuk merancang prototipe yang disesuaikan untuk
kebutuhan di Indonesia. Penelitian ini mengembangkan prototipe Internet Of Things (IoT)
untuk melakukan pencegahan dan penanganan terhadap ledakan atau kebakaran yang
disebabkan oleh kebocoran gas. Prototype IoT yang dikembangkan menggunakan ESP32
sebagai microcontroller, sensor gas MQ2, solenoid valve sebagai penutup saluran gas,
sensor api, serta GPS untuk memberikan informasi lokasi kebocoran gas melalui Whatsapp
kepada pihak terkait. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini mampu mendeteksi
kebocoran gas dan api dengan akurat, menutup saluran gas secara otomatis dengan baik,
serta mengirimkan informasi lokasi kebocoran gas kepada pihak berwenang melalui
platform whastapp dalam waktu yang cepat. Sistem ini dirancang untuk memberikan
respons cepat dan akurat dalam mendeteksi serta mengatasi kebocoran gas, dengan tujuan
meningkatkan keselamatan dan mengurangi risiko kecelakaan.
