REVIEW LITERATUR: ADAPTASI FISIOLOGIS TERHADAP LATIHAN BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION PADA INDIVIDU DENGAN KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS

Abstract
Osteoarthritis (OA) merupakan salah satu gangguan muskuloskeletal yang paling sering dijumpai, terutama pada populasi usia lanjut, ditandai dengan kerusakan struktural sendi dan penurunan fungsi fisik. Terdapat latihan blood flow restriction yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif latihan dengan pendekatan latihan beban rendah yang tetap memberikan efek terhadap adaptasi otot. Metode yang digunakan dalam studi ini yaitu review literature yang mencakup proses pencarian dan analisis berbagai referensi yang relevan dengan topik melalui basis data. Berdasarkan studi sebelumnya, pemberian latihan blood flow restriction dapat memberikan adaptasi fisiologis pada peningkatan kekuatan dan massa otot, aktivasi serat otot tipe II, peningkat hormon anabolik, serta perbaikan fungsi sendi dan penurunan nyeri sehingga latihan blood flow restriction metode intervensi yang efektif dan aman bagi individu dengan knee osteoarthritis (OA), terutama pada populasi lanjut usia.
