IDENTIFIKASI FRAKSI EKSTRAK SAYUR GONDA (Sphenoclea zeylanica Gaertner ) DENGAN THIN LAYER CHROMATOGRAPHY DAN POTENSINYA SEBAGAI ANTIOKSIDAN

Abstract
Gonda is a Balinese vegetables, its contains many bioactive compounds,such as chlorophyl and its derivatives which is one source of antioxidants. The aims of this research were (1) to identify of Gonda extract by thin layer chromatography (TLC)and (2) to evaluate antioxidant potency to DPPH radical0,1 mM each fractions by spectrophotometer. Data was analysed by descriptive analysis+standard of deviation. The result showed that Gonda freshhas chlorophyll total of 861,88+0,98mg/Kgwb (659,94+0,62mg/Kgwb ofchlorophyll a and chlorophyll b202,15+0,37mg/Kgwb). Extract of Gonda by etanol has nine fractions. F9 identified as β-carotene is the best of franction, that has the potential to reduce free radicals (7,36±0,43%) with the highest percenttage of the other. From this result, it can be concluded that TLC is one of methods can be used to identify of bioactive compounds for Gonda vegetables and Gonda are very important and potential to be developed as functional food.
